| General Information |
The UIC Choirs, conducted by Dr. Michael J. Anderson, assisted by Prof.. Ivana Bukvich, Prof.. Andrew Lewis, and Lenora Carroll four choirs that study a wide variety of repertoire and perform numerous concerts each academic year.
Each ensemble has a different skill level and musical focus. All are open to UIC students through an audition. To sign up for an audition contact the Manager of The UIC Choirs, Elaine Agustin, who will set up a date and time.
Recent performances include Beethoven's Mass in C Major and Duruflé's Requiem with the Janus Ensemble, Mozart's Requiem with the Acanthus Chamber Orchestra; Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra at Orchestra Hall; Ellington's Sacred Concerts with the UIC Jazz Ensemble at The Harold Washington Library; and the exciting opportunity to perform the New York premiere of David Fanshawe's African Sanctus in Carnegie Hall.
